Walking on Water

In life there are just so many problems that surround us. For example, some of us face financial problem, relationship problem, friendship problem, family or work problems and etc. When you look at your problems, that is when you will actually fall. However, when you carry on and do not focus on your problems, you will be able to walk with confidence.
Let me give you an example. When Peter saw that Jesus was walking on water, he wanted to do the same. The moment he got out of the ship, he did walk on water just like Jesus. However, when he saw the wind boisterous, he immediately started to sink.
Why did this happen? This is simply because when he first started walking on water, his focus and attention was solely on Jesus and thus he was able to walk on water. He did not concentrate on the situation around him or what was going on around him. Peter’s focus and attention was on Jesus alone. When he changed his focus to the boisterous wind, he started to sink. In other words, he started to fall.
The boisterous wind in this story represents the problems in our life. When our focus and attention is on Jesus, we will be victorious but when we start to concentrate on our problems and give attention to it, it will cause us to fall and to be a failure. Therefore, it is important to make sure what your focus is on.
When you face a difficult situation, do not be afraid, just trust Jesus with all your heart and He will make a way for you. He has promised you that He will make a way when there seems to be no way. Are you at a dead end now? Do not fear, because there is someone who will help you. All you need to do is tell Him your problems and he will make a way for you.
Stop focusing on your problems and instead start focusing on Jesus. Trust Him with all your heart and He will make things happen in your life.

Letting go

In life there are many kinds of people whom we will meet. There are those who are unforgiving, selfish, emotional, easily offended, hateful, revengeful; and there are also those who are loving, caring, good, patient, humble and kind. I have met these kind of people along my journey. And they have taught me a lot of things about the 'real life.'

When we meet someone with such negative qualities, we should not blame them. It is the devil which is working in them. What we should do is, we should pray for them that perhaps one day God will save and touch their hearts. Besides that, we should forgive them and let them go if they have offended us or hurt us.

Whatever hurt or damage a person may have done to you, it is crucial that you forgive, forget and let them go if they choose to leave. When you forgive, you will feel lighter as if the burden has been lifted from you. You will receive healing (in terms of health, relationship, family, personal etc.) and blessings in many ways in which may not even realise. You must learn to put all bitterness away.

Moreoever, when someone chooses to leave and to walk away from your life, let them walk away. Release them and do not force them to stay. This is because they have the right to choose whom they want in thier life. If someone wants to walk away, let them walk away. They are never tied to you in the first place.

Right now there may be many people you are thinking about whom have walked away from your life. You must remember that no matter what happens in life, we must get over it and keep moving forward. No one is tied to us and they can leave whenever they choose to. All you need to do is to hold on to God and keep trusting Him by feeding on His Word continually. Do not think about your problems and sadness. Keep on rejoicing in the Lord. Giving praise to Him and keep thinking about Him and His word.

Thoughts...

In life there are disappointments, failures, heartaches and sadness that we will go through. In fact, I think these are things that we must go through in order for us to be more matured and wise. At times, it is not easy to let it go and move on from these failures, pain and heartaches. It's easy for us to advise someone on letting it go and moving on with their lives, but the person who is going through it knows how difficult it is. He or she may spend nights crying and thinking about the past pain and failures.
However, we must keep reminding ourselves that no matter what happens, life goes on and thus we must take the necessary steps to make life more worth it. We must stop looking at the past and start looking forward. According to Paulo Coelho, "Before a new chapter is begun, the old one has to be finished; tell yourself that what has passed will never come back. Remember that there was a time when you could live without that thing or that person - nothing is irreplaceable, a habit is not a need." In order for you to let go of the pain, failures and heartaches, you must control your mind. It is crucial that you continuously have positive thoughts and at times like this, it is best to mix with positive people. As for me, I find solace in God that is spending time reading the Bible. Personally, it helps a lot to have a positive mind and to keep my thoughts under control.
For example, one of my personal favourite is Isaiah 43:18 - 19 which says, "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." This promise of God reminds me that it is important for us to forget what has happened and to continue to have hope in Him as He has promised to make the impossible, possible. It is an inspirational word of God to keep me moving forward.
Another word which I find comfort in is Romans 8: 28 which says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." We love God and I am very sure all of us are created for a purpose and thus, we need not fear about the failures and heartaches we face.
There are many other quotes which I personally like and I hope these quotes might help you:

1. When one door closes, another opens; we often look so regrefully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us. (~Alexander Graham Bell~)

2. If someone wants to leave you, let them leave. You are better off without such people in your life. (~Unknown~)

3. Letting go of someone dear to you is hard, but holding on to someone who doesn't even feel the same is much harder. Giving up doesn't mean that you are weak, it only means that you are strong enough to let go! (~Unknown~)
